Facing Adversity: A Therapist’s Experience, Plus Practical Advice

Jake Wiskerchen shares one example of a situation where he practiced resilience. Sharing a vulnerable experience can help create a safe space and allow others to be vulnerable as well. Jake talks about the wave of emotions he felt during a stressful situation at the beginning of the COVID-19 business closures, and how he got through the situation by accepting (not ignoring) those feelings.

Whenever you’re experiencing a stressful situation, remember that you’ve felt these emotions before and you’re still here. You can get through it.
