Kelly was born and raised in the central valley of California. She and her family recently moved to Carson City, Nevada after she completed her education at California State University, Fresno. She received her Master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling and has worked with individuals, children, couples, and families from a variety of backgrounds.
Kelly strives to provide a safe space for her clients and appreciates the importance of the therapeutic process. She helps her clients build confidence and independence through empathy and genuineness. She understands how our thought processes play a major role in our lives and likes to work from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy lens. She helps her clients work through their thoughts and how to positively restructure them. Kelly has also utilized play therapy with young children to work through their emotions.
How I stay healthy: Spending time with my husband, son, and our two dogs, enjoying the small moments, making quality time for myself, watching comfort shows/movies, and taking walks to appreciate the world around me.
